The overall type design is inspired by the early video makers of the 60’s, the typeface is News Gothic, released in 1908, very close in legibility to Vidifont (the first electronics graphics machine used in television production). The Videofreex Title Treatment has the rawness that would fit the subject of this documentary (DIY spirit). I created a hand-drawn version of the Videofreex text in the same style as the all uppercase version seen in the documentary.
